Tokidoki Watercolour Print Bag

My brand new Tokidoki bag!

Tokidoki Watercolour Print Elegante Tote Bag

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

I recently made a purchase and this was it. The Tokidoki Watercolour print tote bag. I am absolutely in love with this bag, it's so colourful and adorable.
I bought this bag from Ebay. It is completely 100% authentic. It cost approximately £50 and that includes delivery so it wasn't cheap. In US currency it costs $158. It came with the Tokidoki heart tag that contains the story from Simone Legno and the price tag.

I advise anybody who wants to buy a Tokidoki bag from Ebay to practice a considerable amount of caution. (Unless you aren't bothered/are looking for a fake of course) There are a lot of fakes out there so it's important to be careful when buying and to make sure you use a buying method which will protect you such as Paypal. I always use Paypal to buy from Ebay because it means if the item is defective or fake then I am 100% protected as a buyer.

As I said, the bag I purchased is 100% authentic. Fake Tokidoki bags on Ebay are often sold very cheaply so if the price looks too good to be true then it probably is. A real Tokidoki bag will also come with the appropriate tags - especially the one with the story from Simone Legno inside it.

I did my research prior to buying this bag to try and find out ways of spotting a fake Tokidoki bag so I was well informed before I bought it. And I checked it over once I received it to make sure.

The print and type of bag I bought is difficult to track down because I believe it was only released in 2010. At least it was difficult for me anyway. I looked all over the place for it and eventually only found it on Ebay. Tokidoki themselves don't seem to stock this particular bag on their website (or they stock a different one to what I wanted) which was frustrating as I would have preferred to have purchased it through them for complete security but never mind.

There is a lot of advice out there for Tokidoki bags with the older season key chain and prints but I couldn't find much on the Watercolour print so I used the general advice given on some of those blogs I found. Bear in mind that the Watercolour print is not in the same season as some of the bags mentioned so some of the advice given on these blogs is not applicable.

This is a good blog I found on the Watercolour print bag and I also used the photos on here to check my bag over (yes my bag is a different style but it was useful for comparison purposes on the stitching, zips, material etc):

Tokidoki Blog

Note the stitching is the same colour as the trim, the zip pull has the heart cross bone design and the Tokidoki blue heart and cross bones is clear with the same coloured stitching. The inner pattern on the bag also must show the black Tokidoki heart and cross bone design. The colour of the bag itself will also be vibrant, not faded.

The advice on some of these blogs says that all bags come with a Tokidoki toy key chain for example but for the Watercolour print you will find a diamonte Tokidoki heart and cross bone key chain. This is because it's a newer season bag. And this keychain is heavy to feel, a fake one will be light. The mechanisms on the straps will also be metal, not plastic.

So that's some general advice I can give you if you're considering buying this print bag.

With that, let's get to the fun stuff. The photos ^_^ I am sooo in love with this bag.

And I realise some people either really like it or really hate it. If you hate it, that's alright, just don't get nasty about it okay?

How can you not love this?! :D

I am currently in the process of uploading a video I made showing this bag so will post that video as soon as it is up!

Sparkly January Make Up Favourites

Wednesday, February 2, 2011
Hi everyone!

So I thought I'd do a January favourites entry.

These are all the products I have been absolutely loving lately (particularly during the month of January!).

Hope you enjoy!

Foundation

Okay so first I am going to start with foundations. I have been using mostly these two foundations during January.

The first is Maybelline's Superstay Foundation. My shade is 'Light Beige' which sounds wrong for me since I usually use Ivory shades but this actually fits my skin tone well. This foundation has beautiful coverage! It also feels pretty soft on the skin.

Another firm favourite of mine which I have used before (this is my second tub) is Max Factor's Miracle Touch. My shade is 'Classic Ivory'. This foundation is buildable and has a light to medium coverage. It's very natural looking but it covers pink/red areas well. Gives a lovely, natural finish.

Bronze/Blush

I have to be honest, I rarely use bronzers but when I do, I usually choose lighter ones that give me more of a 'glow' rather than a 'tan'.

Accessorize Baked Bronzer: Golden Sand / Shade 1

Accessorize Merged Blusher: Starlet

Eye Shadows:

Now on to eye shadows! I've been a huge fan of Sue Moxley products for a long time now and the 'Famous' line she carries just got a revamp. I got these trios a little while ago and started using them more recently. The colours are so pretty! They're highly pigmented and blend beautifully too.

Left: Azure

Right: Midnight

Superdrug released a line from Accessorize (the accessories store) suitably named 'Accessorize' and the eye shadows from this line are BEAUTIFUL. They are so cheap (£4 and under!) and I adore them.

They come in three different types (excluding palettes) - mono, merged and baked duo. Here I have two merged monos and one baked duo.

Far Right: Moon Dust (Merged) Middle: Gun Metal (Merged) Far Left: Back Stage Pass (Baked Duo)

Urban Decay NAKED Palette

This palette, I am told, has been rather scarce in stores and online as it keeps selling out very quickly and Urban Decay have had problems with re-stocking because they switched suppliers (this information was taken from the U.D Facebook Fan Page). I feel lucky that I have owned mine now for a few months and didn't have any problems picking one up. Regardless this palette is worth all of the hype. I use it practically on a daily basis because it has a gorgeous selection of neutral colours. LOVE IT!

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette

Yes, when I saw this next palette I did a little double take. But I'm going to save the stupid U.D comparisons on this one because it is a palette on its own. It has some really gorgeous neutral shadows though!

Eyeliner

MAC 'Blacktrack' Fluidline

A lot of people rave about this eyeliner and I am one of those people. I will never use another eyeliner as long as I live because this one is made of awesome.

Mascaras:

Two of my favourite mascaras. Telescopic explosion takes time to apply but it's SO worth it. Fanned out, long length lashes. I adore it.

And False Lash Effect is wonderful for volumised lashes!

Left: L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion

Right: Max Factor 'False Lash Effect'

Max Factor 'False Lash Effect' Brush: (Of course it has mascara on it, it is after all from a tube of mascara ;) )

L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Brush: (Of course it has mascara on it, it is after all from a tube of mascara ;) )

Lipsticks:

I admit, these lipsticks took some time to grow on me. Well, the 'Rose Pearl' one did but still. However, now I absolutely love them. The colours are so pretty and the formula is moisturising but still pigmented. And they don't leave residue which is a massive bonus.

Left: Rose Pearl

Right: Pink Pearl

So those are my January favourites. If you got through all that then well done! Hope you enjoyed! :)
