More February Haulage!
Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 3:55 AMHi all. So I went shopping yesterday and picked up some Barry M nail paints.
They are only £2.95 each but the colours are just beautiful and so vibrant. I am in love with these nail paints. I have actually owned some for a while now but recently expanded my collection and got some more colours.
From Right to Left: Spring Green, Acid Yellow, Cyan Blue, Fuchsia, Coral and Flamingo Pink.
These can be purchased either in Superdrug, Boots or online at http://www.barrym.com
I also got these kohl pencils from Barry M. The aqua colour and the blue are both eye pencils and the pink is a lip pencil. I will post the colour names up soon but they are numbers 12 (the lip pencil), 19 (the darker blue) and 13 (the cyan blue).
If you follow my makeup channel (Here) you will already know I am in love with EcoTools brushes. Well, I tried finding the concealer brush in store and online but couldn’t find it on its own. I managed to find a set of EcoTools brushes on Ebay that had it but it came with brushes I already had (blush, liner and eye shadow brush). I decided to get them anyway as I figured I could just keep them as spares.
These are the brushes featured in my haul video that I already owned and that I bought in store (Superdrug).
From Left to Right: Blush brush, Powder Brush, Foundation Brush and Eye Shadow Brush.
This is the set I purchased from Ebay.
Top to bottom: Liner Brush, Eye Shadow Brush, Concealer Brush, Eyebrow Brush and Blush Brush.
They come in this EcoTools bamboo pot:
Recently I purchased Maybelline's Lash Stiletto Mascara. I was so in love with this mascara that I decided to buy a back-up. It gives phenomenal length! I will do an individual review of this mascara on here very soon so keep an eye out for that.
February Weekend Clothing Haul
Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:29 PM
I went shopping over the weekend and picked up a few things. I wanted a few new tops for the spring time and for when I go to Expo in May. I went to New Look and Dorothy Perkins in Outfit. (Outfit carry Top Shop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Evans, Burtons and more) This is the stuff I picked up:
Dorothy Perkins
T Shirts £5 each or 3 for £12 (I got a black one too but I'm wearing it so couldn't take a photo as it's all stretched out from me wearing it)
I love these t shirts. They're very simple and they come in all kinds of colours (white, black, red, green, blue and yellow). I got white, yellow and black obviously. What I love is that they're really easy to match with jeans :) I can also wear them underneath jumpers for warmth.
New Look
Black button top
Approx £18
I already have a 'wool' version of this but they also make a cotton version which you can see below. I debated in my head whether or not I'd like to get it because it's the same as the wool one I have. I decided to get it in the end because it will make a lovely top for the warmer weather.
Love And Kisses Jumper
£25
When I first saw this it was on the store mannequin. I thought it was cute but I didn't think it would suit me. However, I tried it on anyway and I was really pleasantly surprised :) It is now one of my favourite jumpers :)

February Haul
Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 6:48 AMI went shopping yesterday and stopped by a few stores. I went into New Look and Miss Selfridge in Outfit and got some stuff. I couldn't remember the prices on some of the items I got and I've thrown the tags away so I have given a rough estimate in some cases. I'm usually not bad at guessing prices ;) Hehe.
All the stuff I got is for spring/summer.
Clothing
All from New Look And Miss Selfridge.
I saw this NYC t-shirt and just couldn't resist. I love NYC and I love stuff with photos of NYC on it so this had all that. I love it!
T Shirt: £22
I also loved this cardie when I first saw it. You wear it open as it has no buttons/zip. It's light pink and very light cotton which will be great for summer.
Cardie £16
I really needed jeans because I have recently lost weight and nearly all of my jeans are now too big :( I love these ones from Miss Selfridge. They're skinny jeans and they fit SO comfortably. They wash pretty well too!
Jeans £25 (You get a student discount at Miss Selfridge so don't forget to show your card if you're a student!)
Jewellery
All from New Look.
I loved this baby pink beaded necklace and matching bracelet. They're ridiculously cute!
Necklace: £5
Bracelet: £3
Also got this pink/silver bracelet with different shaped beads that have a little detail on them.
Bracelet Approx £5
I got this pink rose ring. At first I wasn't fussed on it but then I saw a girl who worked at the store wearing it and I thought it looked really pretty so I got it.
And finally I got this adorable pink bow hairband. I loooove this hairband way too much, haha.
Hairband Approx £5
Review: Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
Shade: NW15
Swatch of this shade below:
What is it?
A creamy gel based foundation. My particular shade is NW15. The formula is waterproof, long wearing and has SPF 15. You can ask a MAC artist at any MAC store or counter to advise you on the right shade for your skin tone. They will even give you a free sample if you’d like to try the product before you buy it. Just ask at the store/counter for a sample. I asked for a sample before I bought this product and my sample jar still has lots of product in it. I ended up purchasing the foundation before I ran out :)
How much is it?
Fairly expensive at £22.50 but well worth the price in my opinion.
What is the coverage like?
This foundation provides medium to high coverage. It does exactly this in my opinion. It covered the natural redness in my cheeks very well and made my skin look picture perfect. It covers nasty red spots nicely too!
It should be mentioned that this foundation is more suited for dryer skin as it has a moisturising and creamy texture.
How do I use it?
Best applied with a foundation brush or clean fingers in my opinion. The important thing to remember with this foundation (and this applies to mineral and liquid foundations too) is you shouldn’t be heavy handed when you apply it because by doing so you can end up removing the foundation instead of applying it. The formula is very thick and creamy so a little goes a long way.
Any scent?
No, none at all
What's the lasting power like?
It's as to be expected from a MAC foundation - excellent. I wore this when dancing and it didn't budge.
Buy again?
YES! I have finally found my favourite MAC foundation! This is going to be a staple in my makeup bag from now on. I love it.
